Rebuilding a website designed for search
After a failed WordPress redesign that had cost them their search rankings, Mushroom's website rebuilt in-house from the ground up, with SEO at the heart of the project.
The context
Mushroom is a talent management consultancy based in Paris and Dubai: executive recruitment and headhunting, organisational consulting and coaching. For a business like theirs, being found on Google is essential.
A previous redesign, handled by a WordPress agency, had gone badly: the new website had cost the firm most of its search rankings.
What I built
- A website rebuilt entirely in-house, from the ground up: no generic CMS or theme, but bespoke development designed around the firm’s needs.
- SEO at the heart of the design: page structure, markup, content and URLs planned for organic search from day one.
- A fast, lightweight website, because performance matters as much to visitors as it does to search engines.
The outcome
A website fully under control, with no CMS dependency, built to win back and maintain the firm’s visibility on search engines.
