A designer at heart, a developer by trade.
I’m Charly Belle, an art director and full stack web developer based in Caen, France, and regularly in Paris. For 20 years, I’ve been helping brands, agencies and SMEs with their web projects, alongside my role as Head of Engineering in an agency.
One point of contact, from idea to launch.
Trained in communication and multimedia (Master’s degree), I’ve always worked where design meets code. As both art director and developer, I think through the look and the user experience, then I build them: which lets me turn a design intention faithfully into a fast, robust and enjoyable website.
No off-the-shelf answers: every project starts from your real needs. I pick the right tools, write clean and documented code, and stay available after launch.
Over the years, I’ve worked with brands such as Bandai, Vaillant, Saunier Duval and INRA, often hand in hand with designers and agencies. I also designed and built, from the ground up, Zenbaki, a privacy-friendly web analytics solution, and Civika, the platform that gives French towns a simple, complete website.

Alongside my freelance work, I’m Head of Engineering at a renowned Paris communication agency: I lead the technical teams, the architecture choices and the quality of the projects we deliver.
I also taught web development to Master’s students at Sup de Pub, the communication school of the INSEEC group. Training future project managers and creatives means learning to make technical topics simple.
Both experiences feed directly into your projects: the methods and high standards of a large agency, with the closeness and responsiveness of an independent.
